For a better performance for mass communication
Class of 2022
Recommendations:
I must express my pride and gratitude for being a student at the British University in Egypt, and I must also state that the university has impressed me with many of the advantages it provided, which formed for me a wonderful image of Egyptian education, as this is my first contact with Egypt after returning from my studies abroad.
I think that what can be improved in the Faculty of Mass Communication at the university may be limited to the following:
It should be a unique arena for building the media skills of its students and graduates, by providing a system of courses and a training mechanism that builds the student’s integrated media personality and is based on the continuous development and blending of the elements of skill and knowledge formation for students, while placing them in an applied work environment all the time and from the first stages of their enrollment. In the college, where the college provides experts and trainers who provide a variety of comprehensive training in various media work skills that are presented in parallel with the various academic courses, so that it develops in the students from the beginning the awareness that media work is not just a theoretical prescription or a traditional methodological course, but rather it is according to what is happening In the latest media education systems in the world, an educational skill structure is based on professional practical work based on an educational horizon and an ethical framework. Thus, the student receives training from the first day of joining the college, and then his professional skills are developed all the time, to be linked and qualified for entry, competitiveness and priority attendance in the Egyptian, regional and international labor market and meet their requirements, In addition to the well-known media disciplines in which training is conducted in the fields of radio, television, digital and paper journalism And public relations and advertising, media education and qualifications provide a space for training on developments related to media based on the Internet and social media platforms, as well as interactive media applications for smart phones.
The college should also work to create and provide a learning and training environment with diverse platforms within the college that employ the capabilities of studios and laboratories, and use specialized professional expertise, and also integrate with what the college gives its students of external training experiences in various media institutions. television, paper, and electronic newspapers, through which students produce and publish their work; To represent an important professional and training work, while at the same time providing training opportunities in various media institutions.
For the university to have more resources than practical education for students, as I faced shortcomings in learning outside the university, and I hoped that the university would provide me with many grants and practical training or free courses, and if I, as a marketing student, could not enter and use all the accessories inside the college because it was most Education is theoretical, not practical.
I also hope that the college becomes more encouraging, in terms of presenting competitions and prizes among students, rather than all of them being purely educational, or being limited to parties and student activities. It would also benefit a lot if the college could make university professors interested in giving students more feedback, because it is important and gives us a better view and a better chance to improve our grades.
